Zombie survival

Pension of the Dead

Arthur starts in Sunview’s visitor car park. Cross the front garden and fight through a rebuilt, furnished care home, restore the stairlift, recover his dementia medication upstairs and bring his friends home.

Your first run

Choose a difficulty and enter Sunview as Arthur. This is a solo top-down campaign: you aim and fire alien-tech weapons while zombies attack. Resident rescues are optional; the medication and Matron fight are required to evacuate.

The rescue route

  1. Cross the wet car park and front garden, then enter Reception. Collect the staff key and a gun; follow the objective arrow through the connected ground-floor rooms.
  2. Reach the kitchen stairlift. Clear nearby zombies, hold Use and release it after arriving upstairs.
  3. Recover the power cell at the first-floor nurses’ station. This unlocks the stairlift to the second floor.
  4. Recover Arthur’s mandatory dementia medication. The Matron appears in the isolation ward; defeat her before evacuation.
  5. Return down both stairlifts and hold Use at the car park evacuation marker to finish. Rescue Bernard, Doris, Ruth and Albert along the way for the optional four-friend challenge.

Practical tips

  • Beds, lounge sofas, kitchen counters and parked cars block movement and attacks. Broad corridors and clear doorway approaches connect the rooms. Stay out of dead ends and reload while you have space.
  • Collect the five alien guns to try chaining pistol shots, plasma spread, rapid ion fire, rail chains and a piercing walking-stick beam. Pickups switch to the collected gun; Gun cycles your arsenal.
  • Red rings warn of bites, charges and the Matron’s slam. Staff and husks spit projectiles, armored orderlies resist ordinary shots, and bloaters leave acid when defeated.
  • Health and armor drops restore supplies. Scooter, Overdrive and Shield provide temporary mobility, damage or protection.
  • Rescued friends follow Arthur and travel with him between floors. You can finish without rescuing them; their rescue challenge gives you a reason to explore.
